South Korea to provide technical assistance to housing projects

The Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has said that South Korea has promised to provide technical assistance to housing and infrastructure projects in the Maldives.

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who is presently attending the Fifth Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development (APMCHUD) in Seoul, South Korea, told Sun Online that the South Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Suh Seoung-hwan had assured that the South Korean government would provide technical assistance to housing and infrastructure projects in the Maldives.

The objectives of the APMCHUD, first held in 2006, are to promote sustainable housing and urban development for human settlements in the Asia-Pacific region, aiming to address the challenges of housing and urbanization in Asia and the Pacific and find feasible solutions.

The Theme of this year’s conference is “Equal Opportunity for Sustainable Development”.
