Police: The case will be investigated despite Nazim being abroad

Police have said that although Ahmed Nazim, the Parliament Member of Dhiggaru constituency, was abroad, investigation of his accused criminal case would be carried out.

Police Media Official informed Sun Online that Nazim’s passport has been held under a court warrant regarding an investigation being carried out.

However, the official did not specify the exact case that led to police having to request to seize Nazim’s passport.

“Investigation would not be stopped though the suspect is out of Maldives,” said the official.

Sun Online understands that Nazim was already in Malaysia when police requested for the warrant to hold his passport. However, police did not mention anything regarding that.
