Two arrested with bottles containing a substance believed to be marijuana

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of possession of two bottles containing a substance believed to be marijuana.

Police said that the suspects are two Bangladeshi citizens aged 24 and 45.

The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the two bottles were found at the residence of the 45-year-old man, at the site of Ryco Investment Private Limited in Thilafushi.

The 24-year-old man was arrested in Thilafushi, while the 45-year-old man was arrested at 20:45 p.m. yesterday (Saturday) in Male’, as he got off a ferry from Thilafushi.

A cigarette pack containing a substance believed to be drugs was also found when the suspect was frisked after being taken to the police station, said the police.
