Money stolen from nurses

Money has been stolen from handbags of nurses who were undergoing training at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Sun Online has come to know that money from four trainee nurses’ handbags kept at nurses room were stolen while they went wards to visit patients with doctors.

According to brother of one of the nurses, apart from money; a gold bracelet, a diamond ring and a camera have been taken from the trainee nurses’ handbags, and that case has been reported to police.

“One of the nurses said all the money in her bag was stolen and there was no way to go to Villingili after the duty even” said the brother.

Police media official said to Sun Online that a case of steeling over MVR 2,000 and some other items from IGMH has been reported to police at around 10:30am Saturday. Police has started the investigation.

Sun Online could not get a word from IGMH regarding the case.
