Man stabbed in assault in Thinadhoo

A man has been stabbed in a group assault in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo. The incident took place on Wednesday night.

The victim, Ibrahim Shifaz, 18, Ranthari, Thinadhoo, is receiving treatment at Dr Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.

Spokesperson for Dr Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital told Sun Online that Shifaz had been stabbed in four places, and suffered serious injuries on his back and thigh.

Police said that the assault took place at around 12: 15 a.m., and police were only informed when the victim was taken to the hospital. No details have been disclosed.
