Detention extended for a third time, for suspect arrested over Rilwan

Criminal court has extended detention of the only person under police custody currently, out of the four people arrested regarding the disappearance journalist of Minivan News, Ahmed Rilwan Abdulla, for the third time.

While three out of the four people arrested regarding the case have been released, the person who remains in police custody is a 25-year-old man. His detention period has been extended for ten days by the Criminal Court today. He was given a seven days’ detention on 4 October 2014.

Rilwan went missing 69 days ago, on 8 August 2014.
