Kulhudhuffushi Hospital: Accident victim suffered broken arm, broken leg

The Kulhudhuffushi Hospital has said that one of the women involved in last night’s accident suffered a broken arm and a broken leg.

Manager of Kulhudhuffushi Hospital Mohamed Hassan told Sun Online today that out of the three people involved in the accident, the 20-year-old man has been released from the hospital after treatment; but efforts are ongoing to send the 57-year-old woman, who suffered more serious injuries, to Male’ for further treatment.

She broke her lower left leg and fractured her left wrist, said Mohamed Hassan.

The third victim, a 52-year-old woman, is also receiving treatment at the hospital for scrapes and bruises and minor head injuries.

Police said that the accident took place at the reclaimed area in Kulhudhuffushi, when the two women, who were walking on the street, were hit by a speeding motorcycle.
