INIA runway closed again, following fuel leak

The runway of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) was closed against last night following a fuel leak.

An official of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) told Sun Online that the runway was closed at 12:14 a.m. following a fuel leak from a Singapore Airlines aircraft.

He said that the matter is under investigation.

The runway was closed due to fuel leaks from Singapore Airlines aircraft last Sunday, as well as on 6 September.
