Kolhufushi power station, worth MVR 34 million, inaugurated

The power station established in Meemu Kolhufushi by the government, under a project worth MVR 34 million, has been transferred to Fenaka Corporation Limited and inaugurated today.

The power station was inaugurated at a ceremony in the island, by Minister of Environment and Energy Thorig Ibrahim.

The project was carried out by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Limited (MTCC).

Spokesperson for Fenaka told Sun Online that the power station contains two 250 kW generators and one 200 kW generator.

The power station, called Fenaka Kolhufushi Branch, is built to modern standards and includes the resources necessary for electricity provision. A total of MVR 34,487,211.00 was spent by the government on this project.
