Ministry of Law and Gender has introduced a special service for people above 65 years, who are weak and confined to bed, and established a mechanism to treat those people at their homes.
The service, to treat old age people who are confined to bed by sending nurses, was introduced at a ceremony held at National Art Gallery on Monday evening.
Gender Ministry said that the aim of establishing this system was to facilitate treatment at home for those who are weak and sick due to old age, rather than them coming to centers to get medical services.
Law and Gender Ministry said that the service of treating elderly people at home by sending nurses has been introduced because elderly people were the origins of families and as they have served the country a lot, they were considered to be the people who need community’s care and medical support most.
Gender Ministry said that the newly introduced service would be available upon request and request form would be available from 14th October 2014 from Gender Ministry.
