Former President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik and his wife have met with an accident in Malaysia.

Dr Waheed’s spokesperson Ahmed Thaufeeg (Topy) told Sun Online that in addition to Dr Waheed and his wife, the driver and the security officer were also in the car at the time of the accident, and no one was hurt.

“No one was injured. President Waheed and his wife are in good condition,” said Thaufeeg.

He further said that the car was hit by an auto transport truck, which escaped after the accident; and that the case is under investigation by the Malaysian police.
