Islamic Affairs Minister meets with Saudi Hajj Minister

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has met with Minister of Hajj of Saudi Arabia Bandar Al Hajjar.

During the meeting, the Saudi Hajj Minister said that efforts are ongoing by the government of Saudi Arabia, to use modern resources to make the hajj pilgrimage easier for people.

He thanked the members of the hajj mission, and requested Dr Shaheem to commence efforts already this year, to make arrangements for the hajj pilgrimage next year.

Dr Shaheem thanked the Saudi government for its cooperation in the organisation of the hajj pilgrimage for Maldivians.

He also thanked the Saudi police and security force, for the exceptional arrangements for pilgrims this year.
