Maldivian seafarer dies

A local seafarer has died while at sea yesterday.

Operations Manager of Senco Maldives Mohamed Faiz Rashad told Sun Online that Ibrahim Ali, Narugis Villa, Thaa Kinbidhoo, died of a heart attack.

He was working on a vessel named MV Dona Maria.

Faiz said that Ibrahim Ali died after the vessel departed from Victoria, Brazil, and that the vessel is now on its way back to Brazil.

A Maldivian seafarer also died in March. He had stopped working for several days due to health reasons, and died while the vessel was en route to China from Brazil.
