President Nasheed pleads special care for the destitute during Ramadan

President Mohamed Nasheed has pleaded for special attention and care towards the well-being of the destitute and needful members of the society during the Ramadan.

Speaking in his special address on the occasion of Ramadan, President Nasheed highlighted the importance of doing good deeds, reciting the Holy Quran and helping those who are in need during the holy month of fasting. He also urged the people to take the month as an opportunity to attain goodness and excellence in virtues.

President Nasheed today sent messages of congratulations to leaders of Muslim countries and international Islamic organizations on the occasion of Ramadan as well.
