The parliament has resumed including the Speaker of the Parliament in its attendance reports, after publishing attendance reports excluding the Speaker for over a year.
Former Speaker of Parliament Abdulla Shahid was included in the attendance reports for 2010, 2011, and 2012, but he was not included in the reports for 2013.
The attendance report for the first session of the 18th parliament published today shows that Shahid attended only 13 out of 30 sittings, making him the member who attended the least number of sittings.
Incumbent Speaker of Parliament Abdulla Maseeh attended all sittings in the first session of the 18th parliament. Maseeh also attended 61 out of the 67 sittings held in 2013.
