The fifteen-year-old who suffered serious injuries in a recent accident in Hulhumale’ has been taken to Sri Lanka for further treatment.

The victim was on the backseat of a motorcycle when the accident took place at around 7:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Spokesperson for Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) Zeenath Ali Habeeb said that the victim had suffered a serious head injury and was in critical condition when he was transported to Sri Lanka the following day, Friday.

Police said that the accident took place when a speeding motorcycle collided with a stationary motorcycle on Nirolhu Magu, and efforts are ongoing to find the man on the speeding motorcycle, who fled the scene after the collision.
