Three arrested in major drug bust

Police have arrested three men and seized large quantities of drugs in an operation conducted on Monday, 25 August, in Male’.

The suspects, aged 31, 20, and 22, were arrested in Parker House in Galolhu.

Police said that items seized from the scene include three bullet-sized packets and 53 small packets containing a substance believed to be drugs, equipment used for packing drugs, and large amounts of money.

Moreover, police also searched the residence of the 20-year-old suspect, where they found 58 small packets and one small plastic bag containing substances believed to be drugs, and equipment used for packing drugs.

They also found MVR 150,000 at the residence of the 22-year-old suspect, located in Hulhumale’, which was searched under a court warrant last night.
