Three arrested with drugs over MVR 480,000 in value

Police Drug Enforcement Department, in a special operation, has arrested three men with drugs over MVR 480,000 in street value from Hulhumale’.

Police said the men, locals of ages 32, 33 and 34, were arrested around 10:20 a.m. on Thursday morning through intelligence information collected by the Drug Enforcement Department. The drugs were found inside a bag which the 33-year-old man was carrying at the time of the arrest, police said.

Criminal Court has extended the detention of the suspects by 10 days. The Drug Enforcement Department is investigating the case.
