President establishes Information Commissioner

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today established the Information Commissioner’s Office.

President’s Office revealed that as stipulated by the Right to Information Act, the Information Commissioner’s Office was established an independent body with the authority to autonomously communicate, as well as receive and lodge legal action.
