Detention extended for three suspects in MVR 480,000 drug case

The period of detention has been extended by 15 days for three people arrested on 15 June, for alleged possession of drugs with a street value of MVR 480,000.

The three men who remain in custody are Maldivians aged 26, 50, and 52. The woman arrested alongside them was released by the court on 20 June.

The four suspects were taken into custody at Mahchangolhi Vaadhooge in Male’, on suspicion of drug dealing .

Police said that five packets containing a substance believed to be drugs were found at the scene of the arrest.
