Young man stabbed in Kanduhulhudhoo

A young man has sustained injuries after being attacked with a sharp object in Gaafu Alifu Kanduhulhudhoo.

Police said that the incident was reported at 11:20 p.m. last night.

A member of Kanduhulhudhoo Council told Sun Online that the 35-year-old victim sustained a wound about one-inch deep, and a 16-year-old had been arrested in relation to this crime.

He said that another young person was arrested in the island last night on suspicion of possession of drugs.

The council member said that there are only two police officers working in the island, where there is no Police Station.

Of late, drug-related crimes, theft, and assault have been on the rise in Kanduhulhudhoo.
