President and First Lady Participate at

President Mohamed Nasheed and First Lady Madam Laila Ali participated at the “Minivan Haveeru” function held on the occasion of the Independence Day, at Artificial Beach yesterday evening.

The President and the First Lady met with the children and families who took part at the event, and offered Independence Day greetings.

The independence day of the Maldives is 26th July. Maldives got her independence from Britain on 26th July 1965.
