Unidentified vessel spotted in Maldivian territory

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has reported spotting an unidentified vessel outside Alif Atoll.

MNDF personnel are now on their way to the area west of Alif Atoll, and said that more information will be available once they reach the area.

MNDF was informed of this vessel by a fishing boat in the area.

Last week, a ship was hijacked in the exclusive economic zone of Maldives.
