President hands over documents of land

President Nasheed today handed over the documents of land? for the 10 parties who had applied in A category in the “Veshi Fahi Malé”, residence land program.

President handed over the documents in a ceremony held today to inaugurate the office of the program. The ten parties who got the documents are those who met the conditions of A category among the 1185 applicants.

A category consists of those who had a small land in Malé previously and are agreeing to leave that land for a bigger land in Hulhumalé. The government has decided to give 250 lands of 1200 sq. ft. for such persons.

President said that there are applicants in A category who do not have a land in Malé, however their forms are also not rejected. President said that the government will find a solution for all those who do not have a place to dwell.
