Parliament to convene on Monday

Parliament has announced that it will hold the 6th sitting of the first session of the 17th parliament at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 14 April.

Parliament Secretariat revealed that the parliament on Monday will conduct debates for committee reports on electing a Member to the Police Integrity Commission (PIC), electing Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) and electing the Prosecutor General following which the parliament will go into Committee of the Whole House to review Bills on Amendments to the Airport Service Charge Act and Amendments to the Act on Export and Import.

The last sitting of parliament was held on 2 April.
