Police have arrested a fourth person on suspicion of the murder of Ali Rasheed, of Diamond Villa, Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo.
Police said that the 31-year-old Maldivian man was arrested this morning.
Ali Rasheed was found dead in a house in Thinadhoo by police on Friday night.
A 41-year-old Maldivian woman, 35-year-old Maldivian man, and a 24-year-old Bangladeshi man were arrested on Friday night after police suspected foul play.
A special police team is in Thinadhoo for this investigation.
Thinadhoo Court has given 15 days’ detention for all suspects.
