Three arrested for murder of Thinadhoo Rasheed

Three individuals have been arrested for the murder of Ali Rasheed, 79, who was found dead in his home, Diamond Villa, Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo on Friday.

Police media official said a male foreigner, along with two locals, a man and a woman, have been arrested in connection to the murder.

A member of Thinadhoo council said Ali Rasheed was found dead inside a storeroom at his house and that there were several injury marks on his body.

A special investigation team from Male' is currently active in Thinadhoo. Police media official said the case is under investigation and that further details cannot be revealed at this time.
