Met Office issues Yellow Alert, warns of bad weather

Maldives Meteorological Service Centre (Met Office) has issued yellow alert and warned of heavy rain and bad weather.

Met Office said that heavy rain and thunder will be experienced in central Maldives over the next 24 hours, and winds will pick up to 30 miles per hour. Seas will however be on average calm.

Met Office also said that the bad weather is not likely to affect the south.

The office said that bad weather is often experienced in April when the seasons change, but more rain can be expected in May.
