Five-star hotel in Hulhumale

State Trading Organisation (STO) has said that the five-star hotel being developed by the organisation in Hulhumale’ will be opened in two phases, the first phase in January 2015.

Managing Director of STO Adam Azim told Sun Online that the hotel will be fully completed in April 2015.

“We plan to complete some rooms and start renting them in January,” he said.

Azim said that the construction of the hotel slowed down for a while, but efforts have now resumed and are ongoing at a fast speed.

The hotel was supposed to be opened last year.

STO has obtained a loan worth $32 million from Export Import Bank of Thailand for this project.

The construction work for this hotel, which will be managed by American company Carlson Group, is being carried out by local company Amin Construction.
