Parliament Regulations Committee has passed to include the Regulation on Issuance of Licences to Practice Law in the Maldives in the General Regulations Act.
This follows a request by Attorney General’s Office on 5 May 2011, to include this regulation in the General Regulations Act.
The committee passed to include this regulation in the General Regulations Act on 26 December 2013, at which time it also passed to remove the Regulation on Lawyers Practicing in the Maldives from the General Regulations Act.
The committee's decision will be debated on the floor and decided by the parliament in its sitting tomorrow.
