Two newly elected MPs join PPM

Two parliamentary candidates who won seats as independents in the 22 March parliamentary election have joined the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

The two freshly elected MPs, Naifaru MP-elect Ahmed Shiyam and Mahibadhoo MP-elect Ahmed Thoriq signed for PPM at an event this afternoon. The event, held in Miluaage, was attended by former president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and President Abdulla Yameen.
