Car of Chief Justice damaged

Chief Justice Ahmed Faiz Hussain’s car has been attacked and damaged.

A Police Media Official said that Faiz Hussain’s car was attacked as it passed near Nalahiya Hotel at around 1:00 last night. A group of people in that area attacked it and broke its tail light.

It is not known if the Chief Justice was in the car when it was attacked.

Supreme Court released a statement on Sunday urging security forces to provide due protection to Judges as stated in the constitution. JSC President and Supreme Court Judge Adam Mohamed’s car was also attacked last Friday.
