Diver Jamleel

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that the body of diver Mohamed Jameel, 41, found on 8 February after a five-day search, has still not been retrieved from the water.

Jameel went missing on 4 February after descending with three others near the south-western corner of Vilimale’.

MNDF Spokesperson Hussain Ali told Sun Online today that efforts are ongoing in consultation with international experts, to retrieve the body.

Hussain Ali confirmed that the body has been located, but did not provide details.

Jameel was found dead 328 feet underwater.

The other two people who went diving with Jameel were not injured in the incident.
