The seven candidates of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) have submitted their forms to the Elections Commission for the upcoming Parliamentary Election.
This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Deputy Leader of MDA Ali Mauroof in an interview earlier today.
Mauroof said that the seven candidates were elected democratically through Primaries within the party, and that he is confident that they will win the parliament seats.
“We won majority in all Atoll Councils that we contested in the Local Council Election, so we’re confident that we’ll win this election as well,” he said.
The MDA candidates contesting the Parliamentary Election are MDA leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed for Meedhoo, Deputy Leader Ahmed Amir for Kudahuvadhoo, Deputy Leader Ali Mauroof for Kendhikulhudhoo, Ali Farish Yoosuf for Velidhoo, Ali Shathir for Holhudhoo, Umar Hussain for Manadhoo, and Mohamed Ismail for Hoarafushi.
