Operation successful, says MP Alhan

MP Alhan Fahmy’s family has said that Alhan has had a successful surgery at Central hospital in Sri Lanka for injuries to his spine after being stabbed on Saturday night.

A family member told Sun Online that Alhan is presently in the ICU.

He said that Alhan underwent a three-hour surgery to fix injuries to his spine.

“He is still unconscious. Doctors said that the operation was successful, but whether he will be able to move that part of his body will be confirmed when he wakes up,” the family member told Sun Online.

Feydhoo MP Alhan Fahmy was stabbed in Breakwater restaurant in Artificial Beach, Male’ around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night.

Three suspects, including an 18-year-old man, were arrested in connection to the stabbing, and the court has extended detention periods for two of them by ten days.
