Jumhooree Party has decided to forgo holding a Primary, and announced the names of its 28 candidates for the upcoming Parliamentary Election.
While some candidates were announced earlier, the party completed announcing all candidates on Sunday night.
The chosen candidates were the ones who received the highest marks in an assessment conducted by the party’s council.
JP’s Seenu Meedhoo candidate is, Bilehdhoo candidate is Ali Ibrahim, Ihavandhoo candidate is Mohamed Abdulla, Nolhivaram candidate is Hussain Areef, Vaikaradhoo candidate is Igbal Adam, Kulhudhuffushi North candidate is Nasrulla Ismail, Thoddoo candidate is Ibrahim Hassan, Keyodhoo candidate is Moosa Nizar, Mahibadhoo candidate is Ahmed Sunil, Kurendhoo candidate is Ahmed Moosa, Milandhoo candidate is Hassan Mufeed, Kendhoo candidate is Ali Hussain, Thinadhoo South candidate is Abdulla Ahmed, and Maafannu North candidate is Ahmed Ajwad.
The discussions between JP and Adhaalath Party regarding granting some slots given to JP to Adhaalath Party have been unsuccessful.
Adhaalath Party has eventually said that it will nominate its candidates for some slots given to JP.
