President appoints two State Ministers

President Abdulla Yameen has appointed Mohamed Ibrahim Manik and Ahmed Munawar as Ministers of State for Finance and Treasury.

Mohamed Ibrahim Manik previously served as the Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury.

Ahmed Munawar attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia, and his Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance with a major in Monetary Economics from the Macquarie University, Australia.

Ahmed Munawar has previously served at the Maldives Monetary Authority for over 10 years.
