Car of JSC President attacked

The car of President of Judicial Services Commission (JSC) Adam Mohamed has been attacked.

Police said that the front windshield of the car was broken by a hurled brick on Chaandhanee Magu near Republic Square, while Adam Mohamed was on his way home after Friday prayer.

People who witnessed the incident say that in addition to Adam Mohamed, a child was also in the car when it was attacked.

Police said that they are investigating this incident, but no arrests have been made.

A group of MDP supporters tried to gather at Republic Square after Friday prayer today. Police and military however succeeded in dispersing these crowds.
