Man found dead near Hoadedhdhoo

A dead body has been discovered in the lagoon of Gaafu Dhaalu Hoadedhdhoo.

Council Member of Hoadedhdhoo Mohamed Ashraf told Sun Online that the body has been identified as Mahudhy Hashim of Dhekunuge, Hoadedhdhoo.

Ashraf said that Mahudhy often dives for sea cucumber.

“He went diving for sea cucumber last night, but then went home, showered, and went out again, ,” said Ashraf.

Mahudhy’s body was discovered at around 6:00 a.m. today.

Ashraf said that Mahudhy is likely to have fallen off the jetty into the sea.

A team from Thinadhoo Police Station have now taken the body of the deceased to Dr Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital, said Ashraf.
