President appoints former PG Muizzu to Family Protection Authority Board

President Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed former Prosecutor General Ahmed Muizzu and Sinayath Hashim to the Board of the Family Protection Authority.

Other members of the Board are Dr Mohamed Aseel Jaleel, Aneesa Ahmed, Mohamed Shihab, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hassan Habeeb and Zulfa Ibrahim.

The Family Protection Authority was established under Article 52 (a) of the Domestic Violence Act.
