Several arrested in major drug network bust

The police have busted a major drug network and made several arrests.

This followed an operation by Police Intelligence in cooperation with Drug Enforcement Department of the Maldives Police Service.

The police said that several locations in Male’ are being checked under this operation.

Galolhu Fahaage was checked under a court warrant on Thursday afternoon as part of the operation.

Large sums of money and drugs have been seized, and several people including Maldivians and foreigners have been arrested, said the police.
