Police raid

The police have raided a brothel and arrested eight people, some of them caught in the nude.

The police said that Herbal Beauty Salon, located on the fourth floor of M. Kovaarik, was raided on Wednesday night following a tip-off.

The operation began at 9:30 p.m. and ended at around midnight.

The police said that five Maldivian men and three Thai women were arrested at the scene.

The Sun reporter at the scene noted that one of the Maldivians was an aged man.

The police also discovered items used for sexual activities and large sums of money in the beauty salon.

This case is under investigation by the Maldives Police Serious and Organised Crime Department.
