SAARC training on preservation of corals underway in Maldives

A training workshop on the preservation and management of coral reefs organized by the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Coastal Zone Management Centre is under in Paradise Island Resort.

The workshop titled “Training workshop on conservation and management of coral reef ecosystems in South Asia region” is participated by officials from institutions around the South Asia region.

Commenced on Tuesday, 26 November, the workshop is facilitated by experts from Maldives and Sri Lanka and will see discussions on techniques to conserve and manage coral reef ecosystems.
