Managing Director of Kooddoo Fisheries Maldives Limited (KFML) Mohamed Mutthalib has been dismissed.
Mutthalib, who was appointed as MD of Kooddoo Fisheries by former President Dr Mohamed Waheed’s government, said that the reason for his dismissal is to transfer him to another company.
“Since I took over Kooddoo Fisheries, the company has seen more progress than ever before. We have established a cold storage and started running ice plants in the islands. Many other big projects are under way,” he said.
He said that Kooddoo Fisheries is presently one of the most profitable government companies.
“I think the company has achieved a lot over the past 18 months, and will continue to achieve more in the future,” he said.
Mohamed Mutthalib is the younger brother of Fares-Maathoda MP Ibrahim Mutthalib.
