Man injured after falling from Machangoalhi house

A man has suffered head injuries after falling from the first storey of a house in Machangoalhi, Male'.

Police said the 35-year-old man was intoxicated when he fell from the first floor of Ma. Kurenbi Villa to the street this afternoon. He is now being treated in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Media Official at IGMH Zeenath Ali Habeeb confirmed that the hospital received the man. She said he is currently being treated for head injuries and that his condition is not serious.

“The patient had injuries to the head. His head was broken so he is undergoing a CT scan. He was talking and conscious when he was brought in, so we haven’t decided whether to admit him,” Zeenath said.

In a separate incident last week, a man fell from a four storey building in Henveyru and passed away the day after while being treated for serious injuries in ADK hospital in Male’.
