Commissioner General of Customs Mohamed Aswan has been dismissed from the post.
Aswan was dismissed yesterday.
The former Commissioner General said he was dismissed by the new president after his term expired, and that he believes such changes will follow with the induction of a new government.
The government has not made a new appointment to post and has yet to commented on Aswan’s dismissal.
Mohamed Aswan was appointed Commissioner General of Customs by former president Mohamed Nasheed on 11 May 2011.
