Popular local store 80 Number robbed

Popular local store in Male’, 80 Number was robbed late last night.

A police media official confirmed that the incident was reported and said police are attending the scene.

Speaking on behalf of the store, Mohamed Munavvar said the store was broken in-to before Fajr (dawn) prayer, early this morning.

He said the robbers had broken the store’s main door to enter and taken MVR 1500 from the store’s counter and some cosmetics products. Not much else was taken, Munavvar said.

Munavvar said a police forensics team has inspected the crime scene.

The 80 Number is a popular local store established more than a decade ago, located in the on Majeedhee Magu in the centre of the capital Male'.
