EC President Fuad admitted for heart issues

President of the Elections Commission Fuad Thaufeeq has been admitted in ADK hospital late Wednesday night.

Reports say Fuad was admitted for heart related problems.

An official from ADK told Sun that the Elections Commissioner’s condition is improving and hopes to be discharged soon.

Sun is aware that Fuad has a history of heart problem and had earlier undergone heart surgery.

The Elections Commission would not comment on the matter.

Fuad’s admission comes just days before the second attempt for a fresh presidential election, scheduled for Saturday, 9 November 2013.
