Two men arrested in Mulah, stolen money recovered

Two men have been arrested with stolen money and gold from a house in Meemu Mulah last Thursday.

Police said the men were 19 and 26 years of age.

Police said the men were arrested over the theft of MVR 12,000 in cash and some gold from a house in Meemu Mulah on 31 October 2013. They were arrested on the same date, police said.

The gold and part of the money have been recovered.

Police said they inspected the residence of the two suspects and found 11 bullet-size rubber packets hidden inside a room that was under construction.

Both men have records of drugs, theft and assault, according to the police.
