Health Minister Dr Jamsheed resigns

Minister of Health Dr Ahmed Jamsheed has resigned.

This has been confirmed to Sun Online by the President’s Office.

Media Secretary of the President’s Office Masood Imad said that Dr Jamsheed resigned after being offered employment at United Nations in New Delhi.

Dr Jamsheed’s resignation comes just ten days before the end of President Dr Mohamed Waheed’s presidential term.

Dr Jamsheed assumed the post of Minister of Health on 12 February 2012, a slot given to Jumhooree Party by the present government.
